San Francisco is usually laid back kind of the city; hipsters alike are, peaceniks, folk singers, stoners and whackos, all live together in perfect harmony.
But on Tuesday, San Francisco adopted new legislation which is not so lovey-dovey, at least for local restaurants quickly.
«Food kid "can no longer be sold with toys if they meet specific nutritional standards;standards that may threaten the McDonald's happy meals.
On Tuesday with veto-proof vote 8 to 3 San Francisco officials adopted a law that allows restaurants to give Toys baby food only if the food contains less than 600 calories, fruit and vegetables and beverages without too much fat or sugar Act comes into force on 1 December 2011.
The first thing that comes to mind is the happy meals McDonald. Since 1979, when introduced, happy meals, McDonald's has used children eating, specifically free Toy directly market to children.
McDonald's may specify that, frankly, but come on, we all know that those cheap plastic "made in China" toys, really-Mama, I want to McDonald 's! "
Here's the happy Meal promotion of 1979 in Klingon:
San Francisco officials say that the Act was designed to help combat childhood obesity;hard to argue against that. But McDonald's not happy about it. company representative said that they were disappointed with the new law and called on, get a free toy in the Happy Meal "part of the fun, family experiences."
No doubt the law as it is one of those evil "progressive" initiatives, many Americans are afraid and Yes, that's a pretty big brother-ish.And Yes, this Government is putting the screws to the private sector. But are there any other solution out there? we have a lot of fat kid! Look!

You can't bury your head in the sand and pretend that things are the same as they were in 1979, now in 2010, we have a major epidemic of obesity-children and adults-such modifications, alterations, that sometimes you have to buck the history so calm down and gave it a chance.
If you think it is un-American for your kids to be deprived of their right to McDonald's and cheap toys, easy to circumvent the law to take your children to McDonalds, stuff them full fries and burgers, and then drag them bloated little butts of toys "r" us. problem solved!
